At Tamrena, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). Tamrena is a fitness and weightlifting tracker, operated from Egypt. Please read this policy carefully.

2. Information We Collect

Personal information. When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Display name (first and last name)
• Date of birth (to verify age eligibility)
• Gender (for personalized recommendations)
• Height and weight (for fitness tracking and personalization)
• Fitness level (beginner, intermediate, advanced, or elite)
• Fitness goal (build muscle, lose weight, gain strength, or maintain)
• Phone number (optional)
• Profile photo (optional)

Fitness data. To provide our workout tracking service, we collect:

• Workout sessions and exercise history (exercises, sets, reps, weights, duration)
• Personal records and progress metrics
• Body measurements (if you choose to track them)
• Workout templates and favorite exercises
• Exercise proficiency and muscle group maturity data
• AI trainer conversation history for personalized suggestions
• Trainer personalization preferences (communication style, focus areas)

Device and technical information. We automatically collect:

• Device type, operating system, and platform (iOS, Android)
• App version
• Crash reports and error logs (for debugging and improvement)
• Usage analytics (app sessions, feature usage, navigation patterns)
• Push notification tokens and device identifiers

Notification preferences. We store your preferences for:

• Push notifications (workout reminders, achievements, PR milestones)
• Email notifications (weekly summaries, milestone achievements, inactivity reminders, monthly reports)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our Service
• Personalize your workout experience and provide AI-powered coaching through our AI Trainer feature
• Track your fitness progress and generate insights
• Process transactions and manage your subscription
• Send you updates, security alerts, and support messages
• Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
• Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve our Service
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
• Encryption of data at rest in our databases
• Secure authentication with Firebase Authentication
• Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments
• Access controls limiting access to user data

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Third-Party Sign-In

When you choose to sign in using Google or Apple, we receive the following information from these providers:

• Your name and email address
• Profile photo (if available and you have granted permission)
• A unique identifier to link your account

We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password. These providers handle authentication securely on their end.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information with the following service providers to operate our Service:

Infrastructure and authentication

• Firebase (Google): authentication, database storage (Firestore), file storage, and cloud functions.

Payments and subscriptions

• RevenueCat: subscription management, purchase verification, and billing through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

AI-powered features

Our AI Trainer feature uses artificial intelligence to provide personalized fitness coaching. To deliver this service, the following data is processed by our AI provider:

• OpenAI:your fitness profile, workout history, personal records, basic body measurements, trainer preferences, and chat messages are sent to OpenAI's API to generate personalized coaching responses. Under OpenAI's API terms, your data is not used to train their AI models. You are asked for consent within the app before any data is shared with OpenAI.

Analytics and error tracking

• PostHog: product analytics, feature usage tracking, and user behavior analysis to improve our Service.
• Sentry: crash reporting and error tracking to identify and fix technical issues.

Advertising and attribution

• TikTok (Business SDK / Events API): if you grant permission via the Apple App Tracking Transparency prompt (on iOS) or do not opt out (on Android), we share limited event data, such as app installs, account creation, subscription purchases, and a hashed device or advertising identifier, with TikTok to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns and to deliver more relevant ads. We do not share your fitness data, workout history, AI Trainer conversations, body measurements, or account credentials with TikTok. If you decline tracking, TikTok receives no advertising identifier and attribution events are not linked to you personally.

Push notifications

• Expo Notifications: transactional push notifications (workout reminders, achievements, PR milestones).
• OneSignal: marketing and promotional notifications, feature announcements.

Other disclosures

• Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the new entity.

7. App Tracking Transparency & Advertising Choices

On iOS, the first time you open the Tamrena app you will see Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT)prompt asking whether you allow Tamrena to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. Your choice controls whether your iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA) is shared with our advertising and attribution partners (currently TikTok).

• If you select "Allow": we may share a limited set of advertising events (e.g., app install, signup, subscription) along with your advertising identifier with TikTok so we can measure the effectiveness of our ad campaigns and show you more relevant ads.
• If you select "Ask App Not to Track": no advertising identifier is shared, and TikTok cannot link app events to your identity for advertising purposes. The app continues to work normally.
• You can change your decision at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or by disabling tracking for Tamrena specifically.
• On Android, you can reset or limit ad personalization at any time from Settings → Google → Ads.

Your tracking choice only affects advertising attribution. It does not affect the core functionality of Tamrena, your subscription, or the personalization features that operate on your own account data.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and data
• Export your data
• Opt out of marketing communications
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. When you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

11. International Data Transfers

Tamrena is operated from Egypt. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States where our cloud infrastructure and service providers (Firebase/Google, OpenAI, RevenueCat, PostHog, Sentry, OneSignal, TikTok) maintain their servers.

These countries may have data protection laws that are different from those in your country. By using our Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries. We take steps to ensure your information receives adequate protection through our service providers' security measures and data processing agreements.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
