Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using PCB Arena ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please don't use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA), and old enough to form a binding contract in your country, to use PCB Arena. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. What PCB Arena Is, and Is Not
PCB Arena is a planning and documentation tool for wiring and logic diagrams. You place components on a canvas, connect their pins, and export the result as an image, a PDF, a pin list, or a netlist.
It is not a simulator and it does not verify your circuit. Nothing on the canvas is electrically live. The App does not check continuity, detect shorts, evaluate logic, validate voltage or current, or tell you whether a design is safe or will work. A diagram that PCB Arena renders happily can still describe a circuit that damages your hardware or injures you. You are solely responsible for reviewing your own design, for the accuracy of any pinout you rely on, and for anything you build. If you are working with mains voltage, high current, or lithium cells, get advice from someone qualified.
The netlist export carries connectivity only: no footprints, no schematic symbols, no PCB layout. You still assign real footprints in your EDA tool.
4. Your Projects and Content
You keep all rights to the diagrams you create. You represent that you have the right to publish everything you upload, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's intellectual property, privacy, or confidentiality obligations.
Projects are private by default. When you set a project to Public, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it inside the App and its community features, and you grant other users the ability to view it and to create a remix of it as described below. When you set a project to Unlisted, the same hosting licence applies, but the project is shown only to people holding its link. You can change a project's visibility or delete it at any time, which ends the display licence going forward.
5. Remixing
Any public project can be remixed: another user can create their own editable copy of it. A remix is created private, and it carries a visible attribution back to the original project and its author. By publishing a project you accept that it can be remixed. If you remix someone else's work, you must leave that attribution in place, and you are responsible for whatever you change or publish afterwards.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Publish content you do not have the rights to, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy
- Publish unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful, deceptive or sexually explicit content, or anything designed to cause harm to people or equipment
- Publish spam, advertising, or bulk-generated projects
- Impersonate another person, or claim a handle in order to pass yourself off as somebody else
- Attempt to inflate likes, remix counts or view counts, or otherwise manipulate the feed
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the App or its backend, or circumvent its security rules
- Use the App in a way that imposes unreasonable load on the service, or resell access to it
7. Moderation and Removal
Any public project can be reported for spam, inappropriate content, or copyright infringement. Reports go to a queue reviewed by a person, not an automated system. We may hide a project from the feed and from search, remove it, or suspend or terminate an account, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken, and we may do so without prior notice where the content is unlawful or harmful. Hiding a project does not delete your own copy of it. You can also block another user, which removes their projects from your feed and search results.
If you believe something in the App infringes your copyright, email support@moetalaat.com with enough detail to identify the work and the project, and we will review it.
8. Your Account
You sign in with Apple, Google, or an email and password, and are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure. You choose a public handle; we may reclaim a handle that is used to impersonate someone. You can delete your account at any time from the App's settings, which removes your projects, profile, handle claim, community activity, and authentication record. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what deletion does and does not reach.
9. Subscriptions & Billing
PCB Arena is free to use. PCB Arena Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store and managed via RevenueCat, which lifts the cap on private and unlisted projects, removes the footer from image and PDF exports, and keeps custom components in a library shared across your projects. Payment is charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it at any time from your App Store account settings. Prices may vary by region. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. If your subscription lapses, projects beyond the free-tier cap are not deleted; you simply cannot create new private ones until you are back under it.
10. Component Artwork and Attribution
The board and component graphics in PCB Arena come from the Fritzing parts library, licensed CC BY-SA 3.0, and from Wikimedia contributors (the Raspberry Pi 5 and Pico artwork by Efa, licensed CC BY-SA 4.0). Full credits are in the App's Acknowledgements screen.
Because those licences are ShareAlike, every image and PDF you export from PCB Arena carries an attribution line naming the source and licence. That line is part of complying with the artwork licence, not branding: do not remove, crop out or obscure it from an exported diagram you share or publish. If you redistribute an exported diagram containing that artwork, the ShareAlike terms of the original licence apply to it. Pin lists and netlists contain no artwork and carry no such line.
11. Intellectual Property
The App's code, design, copy, brand, curated part definitions and pin data are the property of the developer, except for the third-party artwork described in Section 10. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for its intended purpose. This does not affect your ownership of the diagrams you create.
12. Third-Party Services
- Google Firebase: authentication, database, storage, and functions
- Apple: sign-in, distribution, and billing
- Google: Google Sign-In
- RevenueCat: subscription entitlement reporting
Your use of these services is governed by their own terms.
13. Privacy
Your use of PCB Arena is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
14. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, that the pin data for any board matches your specific revision of that hardware, that an export will import cleanly into any particular EDA tool, or that a diagram you create describes a working or safe circuit. Content published by other users is theirs, not ours, and we do not endorse or verify it.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PCB Arena and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including damage to hardware, loss of work, or injury resulting from a circuit you built with reference to a diagram made in or obtained through the App.
16. Modifications
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
17. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. You can terminate at any time by deleting your account.
