Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By downloading or using the Mintly iOS app ("Mintly," "the Service") you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Who We Are

Mintly is developed by Mohamed Talaat. Contact: support@moetalaat.com.

3. The Service

Mintly is an iOS invoice generator for freelancers. It produces PDF invoices and estimates for general business use. Mintly does not support government e-invoicing mandates (for example Italy SDI, ZATCA, or Peppol) and is not designed to comply with B2B e-invoicing rules in any jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring the invoices you generate satisfy your local legal and tax requirements.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to use Mintly. If you use Mintly on behalf of a business, you confirm you have the authority to bind that business to these terms.

5. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the content (clients, invoices, estimates) you put into Mintly.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings (see the Privacy Policy for the deletion flow).

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Free tier

The free tier includes 3 invoices lifetime, 2 templates, and basic features. Sent invoices include a small "Made with Mintly" footer line.

Pro subscription

Mintly Pro is available as a weekly, monthly, or yearly auto-renewing subscription. Prices are shown in the App Store and may vary by region. Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

Refunds

All purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests go through Apple, not us; the relevant URL is reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot refund App Store purchases ourselves.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use Mintly for illegal activity, fraud, or anything that violates a third party's rights.
Try to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent the app's security or paywall.
Use AI features to generate content for spam, phishing, or harassment.
Interfere with the operation of the Service or other users.
Resell access to the Service or share your account with others.

Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.

8. AI Features

Mintly's AI drafting and reminder features pass your prompt to OpenAI through our Cloud Function. AI output is generated; review every draft before sending it. We do not guarantee accuracy, legal compliance, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated text. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting drafts before you send them to clients.

9. Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you create in Mintly (your invoices, clients, business profile, etc.). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process this content solely to provide the Service.

10. Service Availability

Mintly relies on third-party services (Firebase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, PostHog, Apple). We strive for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

11. Disclaimers

Mintly is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to your use of Mintly is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any third party's rights.

14. Termination

You may stop using Mintly at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms.

15. Changes

If we change these Terms materially, the "Last updated" date above will change and the app will surface a prompt the next time you open it. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that the parties cannot resolve informally will be settled in the courts of Cairo, Egypt.
